 Psalm 91:14-15 (NKJV & GNB)
“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. *God says, “I will save those who love me and will protect those who acknowledge me as LORD. When they call to me, I will answer them; when they are in trouble, I will be with them. I will rescue them and honor them.

Author PhotoGod wants us to change our perspective of the tests and trials that we go through. Our trials are just a test of our love and our knowledge of God and they are also an opportunity for God to lift us up after we have successfully passed through them. God does not simply want to deliver us from whatever we are going through. Like our texts above say, He wants to deliver us, honour us and then set us on high. That is why we must never give up, compromise or lose our faith in God during our tests and trials.

After Job went through the terrible trial that he faced, God promoted him in every way. He had double of everything that he had before, Job 42:10. Jesus was full of the Spirit which led Him into the wilderness where the devil tempted Him. After Jesus overcame the temptation of the devil, the Bible declares that Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit and His fame spread throughout that region, Luke 4:1,2 &14.

In referring to Joseph in Psalm 105:19-21, the New King James Version says, “until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the Lord tested him. The king sent and released him, The ruler of the people let him go free. He made him lord of his house, And ruler of all his possessions.” God did not only deliver him, God delivered and then promoted him. God will also deliver you and promote you.

PRAYER: Father, I receive Your strength to hold on to You through my trials and temptations. I know You will deliver me and promote me.
